Who can say the region will experience total stability without Iran?” he said at a news conference on Monday. Rouhani stated that Iran welcomed better relations with its regional neighbors and pledged to fulfill his campaign promises of opening Iran to the world and delivering freedoms to the Iranian people.

On the other hand, In a telephone call on Monday by the French president Emmanuel Macron, who called to congratulate President Rouhani for his re-election. Rouhani said “The Islamic Republic is ready for cooperation in all levels with other countries, including France, to fight against terrorism and to resolve the Syrian crisis,” Rouhani was quoted saying to Macron by Iran’s state news agency IRNA. “We should bring peace and stability back to the region. We hope Europe does not fall into the trap of countries that promote their wrong interpretations of the region,” Rouhani was also quoted as saying.
