Three industrial developers have obtained the tenders
for building 4 complexes encompassing 800 plants in
Luxor, Asyut, Qena and Sohag governorates, to be built
on an area of 1.2 million sq. meter with each complex
including 200 units. The Industrial Development Authority
(IDA) did not unveil the three companies’ names, stating
that the agency will receive offers on June 5th.
The land of the four complexes will be allocated to the
4 developers according to their expertise in creating,
developing and managing industrial zones and complexes,
according to the officials. Every governorate is to identify
the type of industrial activities for which units will be
allocated, with food industries having first priority as well
as small and medium-sized enterprises.
