Engineer Tareq Mulla Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources visited Port Saied Governorate accompanied by assistant secretary, President of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, the presidents of Petrobel, ENPI and Petrojet and the vice president of the Egas Company in the framework of a series of successive field visits to Zohr natural gas field to motivate workers and to be in contact with project implementers, which helps a lot to motivate them towards implementation of work. During his visit to the site, the minister stressed that his visit to the project is primarily aimed for continuous evaluation and review of the position of the companies operating in the project in accordance with the planned time schedule that has been set. El Mulla pointed out that the development of Zohr project is going fast aiming to start production of natural gas from the field by the end of this year, where production is expected to grow gradually to reach 2.7 billion cubic feet per day after completion of all stages.Total project investments reached to $12 billion and is expected to reach $15.6 billion by the end of the project.
