Cairo Airport receives the best 2017 air safety award in Africa by ACI

Cairo Airport has received the best 2017 air safety award in Africa by Airports Council International (ACI) for its continuous efforts to heighten the airport’s safety procedures.
Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathi congratulated Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) Mohamed Saeed, Chairman of Cairo Airport Company Magdy Ishaq and the staff on the award.

The ACI council’s praise along with a report, carried out by the Airport Excellence (APEX) in Safety Program, which provides assistance for ACI members to improve their level of safety and compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. The ACI called on the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cairo Airport Company to receive the award during the meeting of the general assembly of the ACI council scheduled to for October in Mauritius. Cairo Airport recently obtained the ISO 9001/2008 quality management system standard certification granted by the international Swiss Company SGS upon a periodical assessment of the airport’s performance in accordance with international requirements and standards.
