American firm Perkins Eastman in a joint venture with SSH Design and Soor Engineering Bureau announced it has been awarded the master plan and design contract for the Technology, Business, Health Sciences and Education Complex by the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in Kuwait. The 12,000-student campus will comprise four colleges for technology, business, health sciences, and education, and will be located in the Jahra Governorate 39km from Kuwait’s capital. The campus’ total area spans 23ha (230,000sqm). The contract’s total value has not been disclosed. The international design team will collabourate with PAAET to create unique learning environments and memorable architecture at the Al Jahra Campus.
