In my recent visit to Sharjah International Book Fair, I noticed amazing developments, sharjah Book Fair is held under the sponsorship of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Ben Mohamed El Qassemy. Any visitor to UAE, can easily detect the major progress achieved by its print media.
Emirates print media is witnessing a major leap in printing, press material, distribution, layout, paper, photos precision , graphs, advertisements, and I could go on forever regarding all media aspects related to such a major industry.
The lager number of newspaper issued and their supplements are a pride and joy not only for Emiratis but for all Arabic speaking nations.
This said, I wish to point out that I recall visiting Sharjah Book Fair held in a modest tent in khan district-AlQassbah, with a few visitors stopping by sharjah Book Fair should give all of us around here a great deal of hope .
Sharjah Book Fair is witnessing a boom in the number of titles displayed, participants, and definitely visitors. The fair is witnessing large scale adversity in publishers participating in the fair, as well as in its visitors, which in turn provide for an extremely interesting and rich cultural event. An event that we all expect to bloom even more along the coming years.
At the same time visitors to the beautiful emirate can only admire the lovely architecture of the city, and the master planning undertaken to beautify sharjah, its libraries, museums, research centers, and well regulated traffic.
