Rotary Club of Giza Metropolitan hosted Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, the New Minister of Local and Administrative Development, at its annual education month gathering.

Dr. Zaki, who has great experience in education as a former minister of education, tackled various educational aspects and challenges. The minister asserted that the problems in Egypt originate out of economic, behavioural and managerial causes. He pointed out that the country must design an integrated comprehensive vision and create a plan that deals with those problems.

The Rotary Club of Giza Metropolitan is working on a “Back to School” education project that concentrates on providing school fees to needy students, developing schools, giving out school bags, and launching classes for literacy. The club’s president, Ambassador Medhat El-Meligy, announced that local development begins with education and their national project is developing and enhancing it during the coming period. El-Meligy added that education is the practical equivalent of building a constructive human who is patriotic and able to lead and direct the wheel of development.
