European Union places €200m to fund Egypt’s water sector

Ambassador James Moran, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, stressed on the union’s commitment to provide long-term support to Egypt’s water sector and reform programmes.

Moran noted out that EU allocated €200m of funds to improve the water sector in compliance with Egypt’s developmental goals.

During the 4th European-Egyptian Dialogue on Water conference, held in Cairo, Moran said that water is a key factor to achieve sustainable development, emphasizing the need to use modern technology in the field.
