Four Egyptian squash players made it to the final of the British Open Championship

“Outstanding”, “Stunning performance”, with these words the AFP, French news agency, described the performance of four Egyptian squash players, at the British Open Championship; Gohar, Ashour, El Shorbagy and El Sherbini, the four of them made it to the finals of the British Open Championship.

Mohamecd El Shorbagy was the Egyptian player, who won the men’s finals; and Nour el Sherbini, won women’s finals; they were both competing against other Egyptian players, in an outstanding performance.

El Sherbini won the 18 years old squash player, Nouran Gohar, and by this performance, El Sherbini was recorded as the first Egyptian woman to win the championship since 1922. She has actually made it, to the finals after defeating, Malaysia’s Nicol David, who is ranked second worldwide.

As for the men’s finals; El Shorbagy won against Ramy Ashour, who did actually defeat the French player in the semi-final round.
