Towards development in Upper Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has stressed the importance of following up the State’s plan to develop remote areas including Upper Egypt with the aim of developing them economically and upgrading their citizens living standards.

President Sisi met last Sunday with Investment Minister Ashraf Salman to discuss preparations for holding a conference on investment in Hurghada in September 2015. During this conference, the government will offer incentives with the aim of luring investors to work in Upper Egypt, enhance development rates there and provide the infrastructures needed by investment projects, said spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Youssef.

Preparations for the conference cover the detailed files of projects that will be put forward to investors.

Minister Salman briefed President Sisi on measures taken by the Ministry to attract Arab and Foreign investors.

President underlined the importance of following up the state plan to develop remote areas and the most-needy cities.

Sisi called for continuing necessary measures to facilitate investments.

Meantime, the President stressed the importance of accomplishing all projects which are jointly carried out in cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the armed forces Engineering Corps according to schedule at least possible costs and highest level of quality.

The President referred to the lOIN cost housing project with aims at satisfying the needs of youth and unprivileged brackets .

This came during the president’s meeting with Minister of Housing Dr Moustafa Madbouly. The meeting was attended by Major General Sayed Ahmed ,the Adviser of the Minister of Defense for Projects, Major General Emad El Alfy,the Chairman of the Engineering Corps and Major General Kamel Al Wazir, the Chief of Staff of the Engineering Corps.

The Presidential spokesman said the meeting dealt with projects for extending utilities to the new administrative capital inclUding Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Corridor which will link new Cairo to the new administrate capital. .He said a s urn of L.E.5 billion has been assigned for extending utilities to the new capital.
