Hilton Teams Across the Country Help Strengthen the Community

Cairo, Egypt – (December 25, 2016) – In celebration of Hilton’s annual Global Month of Service, throughout October, volunteers from Hilton’s Egypt hotels and corporate office partnered with various organisations to positively impact their communities. The efforts are a part of Hilton’s month-long celebration recognizing the company’s year-round commitment to serving and enriching the communities where teams live, work and travel.

More than 30 volunteers from Hilton’s corporate office in Egypt teamed up with UNICEF and Rotary to raise awareness about hygiene, water conservation, nutrition, and employability skills in Bani Mazar village. Building on last year’s Water for Life initiative which connected fresh water to 70 households in the Minya governorate, this year, Hilton’s corporate office team in Egypt organised three different sessions to raise awareness among women and youth about hygiene and employability.

“Water is the essence of life and raising awareness of hygiene and water conservation, we aim to help improve the quality of life of Bani Mazar people,” said Christian Muhr, vice president of operations, Egypt & Levant, Hilton. “We are also pleased to have held sessions for youth to learn about employability skills and career development.”
