Spanning 400,000 square meters, 165,000 of which are dedicated to shopping, the two-story complex will also house the country’s first VOX movie theatres as well as an indoor snow park and ski slope at Ski Egypt. The VOX Cinemas will be home to a whopping 21 screens, including 4DX technology, which essentially means your viewing experience is incredibly enhanced with effects such as moving seats, wind, rain fog, lights, and scents. Going to the movies will literally never be the same again. And we can’t know for sure but if Ski Dubai is anything to go by, we can expect penguins any day now. Ski Egypt offers various usage options that range between EGP 300 and EGP400, as well as private lessons and special sessions for pros. The price list also reveals that there is a cafe and gallery of sorts, while some amenities such as equipment and lockers are afforded in some of the prices.

In addition, it features the country’s very first branch of popular edutainment centre franchise Little Explorers and a Magic Planet amusement arcade – Generation 2.0 no less, the very latest version of it. Mall of Egypt also comes complete with a Carrefour hypermarket so you never ever have to run out of cat food, as well as 6,500 parking spaces so you’ll always find a place to park your car while you shop for your cat food.

With original entertainment concepts and some of the world’s most exciting dining and shopping outlets, Mall of Egypt is set to become a regional attraction. But, most importantly, it gives your life meaning and purpose. On the other hand, the construction of Almaza city Centre in Egypt has kicked off at a cost of US $5OOm. The project creates 22,000 direct and 14,000 indirect job opportunities. Located in Cairo’s high-end suburb of Heliopolis on the northeastern quadrant of the junction between  Cairo-Suez Road and Nasr Road in Heliopolis. City Centre Almaza is projected to open by Q1 2019, and will feature 103,455 square metres of retail space offering over 300 of the best international and local brands, and as well as 23 restaurants, 18 food court outlets and nine cafes. In addition to housing a unique retail mix of the leading international and local brands, City Centre Almaza will include a 13,040 square metre Carrefour, 16 state-of-the-art VOX cinema screens, a 1,800 square metre Magic Planet family entertainment centre and 4,000 parking spaces. “Majid Al Futtaim is a long term investor in Egypt having made a significant investment in bringing unrivalled experiences to the country’s retail and leisure sectors since 1998. Majid Al Futtaim’s plan also includes expanding the network of Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets to 60 branches by end of 2019, and introducing the largest and first local VOX cinemas over the coming five years. Upon completion, this investment plan will have created a sizeable 144,000 direct and indirect jobs by providing significant employment opportunities for Egyptians.
