Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DROC) ‘s officials signed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Rubavu province, within the ceremony of launching the COMESA Simplified Trade Regime (STR).

It is expected that the agreement will help thousands of small traders, mostly women, who trade their goods and transactions easily. The agreement also includes 168 commodities varied between agricultural, livestock and fish goods, in addition to building and construction goods, cosmetics and industrial products.
