B.TECH, a retailer for electronics and home appliances in Egypt, plans to pump investments worth EGP 250 million during 2017, the company’s chairman, Mahmoud Khattab, said.

The company also seeks to increase its sales in 2017 by 30% to EGP 3 billion, compared to EGP 2.3 billion in 2016 and EGP 1.5 billion in 2015.

The chairman noted that B.TECH has invested about EGP 50 million in the first half of 2017.

“The contribution of e-commerce is targeted at about 3% to 4% of the company’s total sales, and we plan to increase this number to 15% to 20% by 2020,” Khattab said.

“The company has 67 branches across the country and plans to raise this number to 73 by the end of the current year,” he added.
