Al-Homoud praises first Olympic Arab gold medalist, Al-Deihani

Salman Al-Homoud, Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, spoke highly of Kuwaiti shooter Fehaid Al-Deihani who won a gold medal in Rio Olympics; this asserts Kuwaiti youth ability to win such competitions, he said. “It is an exceptional achievement, especially because it is the first gold medal that Arabs win in Rio Olympics”, Al-Homoud said.

“Such an achievement encourages to exert additional efforts to develop and support all Kuwaiti sports”, Al-Homoud highlighted.

He added, “Although, the International Olympic Committee has decided to exclude Kuwait from participating in Rio Olympics, Kuwaiti youth has lived up to the challenge and participated under the Olympic flag in Rio Olympics.”
